Reflections on the Launch of Armenians in 2115 Report

29 jan 2016

The Armenian Communities Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation would like to thank all the partner organisations, individuals and followers who contributed towards the launch of the report Armenians in 2115: Strategic Directions for the Twenty-First Century. We were pleased to see that the report instigated debates within the Armenian world regarding some of the fundamental problems facing the Armenian people in the 21st Century, encouraging future-oriented strategic thinking and research. The Department is committed to continue this process of open public debates.

The social media campaign and live streaming of the launch in London, Yerevan and Los Angeles generated many important questions and comments, which we would have liked to have answered all. However, due to time constraints we could only address a few of them. We realise that some key questions are still circulating online and we would like to encourage people to continue the discussions amongst themselves.

We would now like to allow people some time to read and reflect on the report, while we also reflect on the launch, feedback and the next steps.

Below you can watch the official podcast of the launch of the report which took place simultaneously in London, Yerevan and Los Angeles. If you have comments, please continue to write to us.

The report was launched in partnership with the London School of Economics and Political Science (Department of Social Policy), University of Southern California (Institute of Armenian Studies), and the American University of Armenia (the President’s Office). The Civilitas Foundation provided technical and media support; our social media campaign was executed by IDeA Foundation and 100 LIVES.
