Caroline A. Jones

Caroline A. Jones is the Rudge (1948) and Nancy Allen Professor in the History, Theory, and Criticism Section of the Department of Architecture, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She graduated from Harvard, did graduate work at the New York University Institute of Fine Arts, and holds a PhD in Art from Stanford University.

Her research focuses on the history and theory of modern and contemporary art, particularly its intersections with cognitive science. She has written extensively on modernism, symbiontics, and media theory, and curated many exhibitions and installations, contributing to major academic and museum publications.
