Location
Dentu Zona Rua Santa Filomena, Cova da MouraTo mark the end of the ‘Chorus in Remembrance of Flight in Lisbon’ programme, Bazofo & Dentu Zona, an independent cultural project that is part of the Julianknxx’s exhibition through its book collection in the Reading Room, is taking us to its space in Cova da Moura.
This party aims to expand and celebrate the exhibition outside the institutional context, tracing paths beyond the city centre through cultural dynamism and knowledge sharing.
The celebration, in the style of Dentu Zona, will include musical performances by Batucada, with friends and local DJs, activities for children, the painting of a mural and a market with the creations of local and diasporan artists and craftspeople.
Honouring the diasporic spirit of the exhibition, this is an invitation that goes beyond the boundaries of the programme and the exhibition, creating bridges of dialogue that can give rise to the continuity of a collective memory, created through unity and presence.

Bazofo
Bazofo was born and raised in Cova da Moura, but emigrated at a young age. The desire to return was always there and, on his return, he faced challenges in his professional career. From this context came the idea of creating an independent cultural space with books and music, and where people and ideas could meet. In 2015, he opened a space that served as the basis for a broader project of cultural dynamisation, leading to the creation of Bazofo. This is a brand that, in addition to its identity as a cultural space, has become a point of reference within Dentu Zona, a project that includes a screen printing studio, a market and various cultural and training activities aimed at the community.
