Artist's statement:
During the fifties and sixties I chose to embrace the Modern Movement, it seemed to be the most serious and profound option. Since then my work has embraced many other directions and cultures. I have travelled quite widely in search of experiences and ways of viewing our beautiful world. I have searched for new hybrids through music, sculpture and painting in order to try to understand nature. Nature is all, its power and creative beauty leave me speechless. The strength and majesty of nature seems to be most powerful in the tropics, that is why I am continuously drawn there. I hope that in some small way my work can reflect my inner passions.
