Révolutions Xenakis

On the occasion of the birth of composer, engineer, architect and mathematician  Iannis Xenakis, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation presents the exhibition Révolutions Xenakis, in partnership with Philharmonie de Paris, where the exhibition took place between February and June 2022.

Curated by Mâkhi Xenakis and Thierry Maniguet, the exhibition is accompanied by a publication, with scientific edition by Makis Solomos, who selected a set of texts originally published in the French catalogue.

The publication includes texts by Iannis Xenakis and an interview with the composer’s daughter, as well as scientific essays on his work. As a whole, these texts offer a broad perspective on the composer’s life and creative process. The graphic project is by João M. Machado.
