The Foundation will be an Active Member of the organisation, an exclusive category for institutions that stand out for their environmentally responsible best practices.

Created in 2020 with the aim of promoting zero waste and reducing the arts sector’s CO2 emissions by at least 50% by 2030, the GCC now has more than 1,000 members around the world. It drives the implementation of sustainable practices in the arts, harnessing the collective influence of the various institutions to generate significant environmental change.

The Gulbenkian Foundation has joined this Alliance to underline its commitment to further developing sustainability best practices, in collaboration with other international organisations that have already made further progress in these areas.
