Didier Fiuza Faustino

1968

Born in France, 1968. He exhibits collectively since 1996, and we can emphasize his participation in the 2000 Venice Architecture Biennial, his presence in the Portuguese pavilion of the 2004 Venice Architecture Biennial, at the 27th 2006 São Paulo Biennial (in the international selection) and, more recently, in the Airs de Paris of the Centre George Pompidou (2007).

Where is many solo shows are concerned, the most recent was titled Symposium, and was held at the Galerie Gabrielle Maubrie, in Paris, 2007. He has also presented his work in Portugal, as for instances, within the framework of the WC Container project, held at the Artes em Partes (2001) and at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Serralves Foundation (2003), both in the city of Porto.

 

Co-founder of a number of interdisciplinary publications, Didier Fiuza Faustino was also awarded several times, and we could point out the 2001 Tabaqueira Award as an example. His works are to be found in collection such as the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Serralves Foundation, and the FRACS of Orleans and Dunkirk, bot in France.

 

He founded the Bureau des Mésarchitectures in 2002, in which he develops architecture projects with Mathieu Herbelin (b. 1976) and Cláudia Martinho (b. 1977) – www.mesarchitecture.com
