Inspired by the figure of Scheherazade, the protagonist of the Thousand and One Nights, the CAM offers an unexpected journey through its collection. Similar to the literary work that underpins the famous tales, the exhibition is organised into fourteen thematic sections, creating a surprising and non-chronological narrative.
In this route, works from different times and styles dialogue with each other, revealing new relationships and possible interpretations. Each section is a gateway to fiction and memory, offering visitors an experience of continuous discovery – as if leafing through a living book, always open.
In this guided tour, exclusive to Cartão Gulbenkian Mais holders, everyone will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the exhibition with the curator, Leonor Nazaré, and explore how storytelling, exhibiting, and collecting become gestures of imagination and reinvention.
The Cartão Gulbenkian Mais programme has a limited capacity. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket. Enter your MyGulbenkian account, open the “Tickets” section, and click “Cancel”.
