Studio Centro de Arte Moderna GulbenkianIn 2023–2024, CAM, Gulbenkian Music, and Artallis – Conservatory of the Arts in Loures developed the participatory project Sounds of a Revolution, involving around fifty students. The project culminated in a musical and performative show at the Foundation’s Grand Auditorium, highlighting community spirit and the hopes of younger generations.
The exhibition by Mikhail Karikis, currently on view at CAM, revisits this project and invites reflection on the revolutions yet to come in today’s global context—where planetary sustainability is under threat with far-reaching consequences.
To deepen said reflection and explore the transformative power of participatory and creative processes, we close the International Museum Day celebrations with a conversation that amplifies the voices of several participants and reflects on the role of artistic collaboration and co-creation in building alternative futures.
The talk is preceded by a 10 minute musical performance.
