Under the tutelage and inspiration of Scheherazade, the protagonist of the timeless One Thousand and One Nights, CAM presents a selection from its collection across fourteen thematic sections inspired by the structure of that legendary tale.

Drawing on concepts that shape those stories and exhibition’s structure, the display presents the collection in a surprising, non-chronological way, creating dialogues and connections between artists and works from different periods and styles.

Leonor Nazaré will share the main threads of the exhibition, which presents the collection as an (un)open book.
