Diana Policarpo, eco-fictions

Event Slider

The exhibition Ciguatera, DianaPolicarpo (Lisbon, 1986), is the artist’s largest installation to date and explores multiple media, including sculpture, sound and film, to create an immersive experience, a sense of being inside the Atlantic Ocean and thinking about it through its interior. Inspired by the Selvagens Islands, the artist created a multimedia installation composed of various sensory elements, capable of stimulating our senses, while paying attention to the way knowledge is constituted.

The installation is formed by two large rocks, which present speculative narratives interconnected between issues related to care, healing, ecology and ancestry, proposing a reflection on the complex relationships between humans and the environment.

This tour explores the process of creating the work and its multiple layers of interpretation
