Gulbenkian GardenFernando José Pereira filmed The man who wanted to collect Time in an old factory which now stands in ruins after an avalanche in 1995. The video depicts a ‘battle’ between space and time; here, time has its own ‘manner of being’ in the sense of history and memory. The video presents a fascination for an untouched, utopian landscape, but also for the dystopian condition of abandoned places as ghost-places, offering viewers a journey through the ruins.
