Location
Studio Centro de Arte Moderna GulbenkianLed by vocalist and composer Mónica Mussungo, featured in one of the works presented in Julianknxx’s exhibition, this event offers guided moments of focused pause, enabling a decelerated experience of the present moment in order to overcome the pressures of everyday life.
During the performance, sound, voice and space become instruments for deconstructing the frenetic pace of urban life. The audience is encouraged to close their eyes and to surrender entirely to the moment, in a sensory experience of union and belonging.
This practice of pausing is not just relief from fatigue, but a way of subverting the rhythms and the spaces that are socially imposed on us, affirming rest as an act of resistance.
