Location
Auditorium 3 Calouste Gulbenkian FoundationThe exhibition Gris, Vide, Cris, open until 18 September at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, brings together works by Alberto Giacometti and Rui Chafes, some specially created for this project, of which a first edition was held in 2018 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Delegation in France.
The Lisbon iteration of the exhibition is accompanied by a new publication, a co-production by the CAM – Gulbenkian Modern Art Centre and La Fábrica, and designed by Pedro Falcão. This catalogue includes, now in both Portuguese and English, the essays published at the time of the first exhibition, as well as introducing some new texts and images of the installation in Lisbon.
The catalogue will be presented by curator and artist João Sousa Cardoso, professor at the Porto Faculty of Fine Arts, who will share his thoughts on the project and chat to the exhibition curator Helena de Freitas and the artist Rui Chafes.
