How to get here

Metro

Metro

The two closest metro stations are São Sebastião (blue and red lines) and Praça de Espanha (blue line). São Sebastião is the only station with elevator access.

Entrecampos station is just a 15-minute walk from the Gulbenkian Foundation and has a connection with the metro network (yellow line).

Bicycle

You can use the network of cycle paths in the city center and leave your bicycle in the racks that we provide next to the entrance of our Main Building.

Entry and accessible route

There is an accessible route with approximately 700 to 900 meters who leads you to one of the Gulbenkian Foundation entrances. To enter in the festival perimeter, there are two options available:

  1. If you’re traveling by public transports, the recommended entry it’s located in Rua Nicolau Bettencourt. The path to reach the Amphitheatre includes little irregularities in the pavement with no more than 3 cm high. All the steps with more than 5 cm are ramped.
  2. If you’re travelling in your own vehicle, you could use the entry via Av. de Berna and then access our outdoor parking lot (exclusive to the public with reduced mobility) situated in the top of the road, on the left side. Form there you can follow the accessible path mentioned in the map bellow:

Accessible Equipment

All ares of the Gulbenkian Foundation, including the Garden and the Amphitheatre, have accesses and equipment for public with limited mobility. Despite the constraints related with the renovation of the Modern Art Centre, the accessibility in the Garden is still guaranteed through alternative paths.

The toilets for public in wheelchairs or with limited mobility are located in at the Modern Art Centre. A member of our security team will guide you there.

The accessible paths in the Gulbenkian Garden and in the Main Building have ramps to facilitate the movement of the wheelchairs in all spaces.

The toilets for public in wheelchair and with restraint mobility are in the building of the Modern Art Centre, and the monitoring is carried out by the security team.

In the Main Building, we have lifting platforms and elevators which you can use with the support of our security team.

Companion ticket

Tickets for people with disabilities or limited mobility can only be purchased in person, at the ticket office of the Gulbenkian Foundation. For each limited mobility ticket, a free companion ticket will be provided.

Festival Store

In our store, located in the Main Building, you will find the discography of some artists of this year’s edition of Jazz em Agosto, as well as the festival’s merchandise. The store is open from 10:00 until 19:00, and from 20:30 until 23:30. On Saturdays, it will be open without interruption, from 10:00 until 23:30.

Bar

During the festival you can have a drink at the bar and the terrace at Jardim das Rosas (Main Building):

  • Monday to Friday: from 20:30 to 21:30 and after the concert, until 01:00.
  • Saturdays and Sundays: from 18:00 to 18:30, from 20:30 to 21:30 and after the concert, until 01:00.
