A frequent presence at recent editions of Jazz em Agosto, pianist Pat Thomas (Ahmed, The Locals) returns with a group that brings an exquisite selection of musicians from London’s boldest contemporary scene.

The specificity of this line-up, made up of Thomas, Seymour Wright (Ahmed), Crystabel Riley, Edward George (founder of the Black Audio Film Collective), Paul Abbott and Billy Steiger allows us to start fantasising about the alien music that results from this.

Listening to X-Ray Hex Tet is as if the entire history of the world were on stage at the same time, present in fragments from the most varied places, in apparent chaos, but able to coexist in fascinating harmony.
