  • Shane Parish Acoustic guitar
Total approximate duration: 50 min.

Founder of the trio Ahleuchatistas and member of the inspiring Bill Orcutt Guitar Quartet (with whom he performed at the last Jazz em Agosto), Shane Parish has been developing a superb solo career with his acoustic guitar. Guitar in hand, Parish explores a sound based on American folk music, with a very strong visual and narrative quality.

On the album Repertoire, released in 2024, Parish has compiled the many guitar arrangements he has worked on, from jazz to electronica, and everything in between. Inspired by Segovia’s statement that the guitar is “a small orchestra”, he plays pieces by Alice Coltrane, John Cage, Aphex Twin, Kraftwerk, Ornette Coleman and Charles Mingus with an American flavour.
