Yedo Gibson Tenor saxophone
Felipe Zenicola Bass
João Valinho Drums
Formed by Portuguese drummer João Valinho and Brazilian musicians (based in Portugal) Yedo Gibson on saxophone and Felipe Zenicola on electric bass, Move is a trio whose music, as Público newspaper wrote, “seems to permanently walk on shards of various genres”. What this means is that there are pieces of jazz, funk, kuduro, punk, frevo, heavy metal and breakbeat running together, all suggestions that never settle down, in a practice of constant stylistic shifts and permanent dissatisfaction. Music of a non-negotiable freedom and a refreshing refusal to settle anywhere, fuelled by an almost supernatural quality in each musician to respond to others, always launching new arguments. A breathtaking and remarkable journey, with the landscape always changing.
