Mariam Rezaei is one of today’s most extraordinary and original musicians. Turning her unique and expert mastery of the turntable into a creative tool with almost limitless resources that are hard to believe without witnessing it for yourself, Rezaei has accumulated praise as “genuinely revolutionary”(London Jazz News) and a maker of “high-speed sonic surrealism”(The Guardian).
With a highly experimental approach to the sounds produced by a turntable, Rezaei brings a surprising, provocative performance of overflowing creativity to Jazz em Agosto, joined by guitarist Julien Desprez and drummer Lukas König.
