Dedicated to adolescence related issues, the 2011 Forum took place over two consecutive days and drew on contributions from both national and international specialists.

The “neurobiology and the social brain of adolescents”, “neurobiology and genetics in cases of abuse”, “evaluating adolescent criminal justice programs”, “mental health”, “sexuality” and “autism, Asperger’s syndrome and other pathologies” themes made up the program that brought around 1,200 people to the Foundation’s headquarters.

This scientific program was associated with an exhibition that brought together the works of eighteen contemporary artists belonging to the Centre of Modern Art’s collection. Labirintos: Roads to Whatever, with its content anchored in the adolescent imaginary and its questions of identity and their neurobiological, cultural and psychical causal factors, was on display to the public at the Foundation’s headquarters between 30th September and 17th November. The exhibition was commissioned by Leonor Nazaré and stemmed from a partnership with the Modern Art Centre.
