Gulbenkian Choir and Divino Sospiro
Continuing an important annual tradition that has been very successful in the Gulbenkian Music season, the conductor Jorge Matta will once again direct the “Te Deum in São Roque” concert. In this last concert of the year, with the Gulbenkian Choir and the Orquestra Divino Sospiro, he combines the Te Deum of both Mozart and Francisco António de Almeida, both composed in the 18th century, and Da pacem Domine by Arvo Pärt, a commission by Jordi Savall which is both a call for peace and a tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack in Madrid in 2004.
