One of the most renowned musicians to come out of the Venezuelan project «El Sistema», Pacho Flores has made a name for himself as first trumpet in the Símon Bolívar, Saito Kinen and Miami Symphony Orchestras. He made his recording debut for Deutsche Grammophon in 2013, with the album Cantar, displaying a particular focus on the South American repertoire, which is also the core programme to be performed at the Grand Auditorium. Pacho Flores will be accompanied by the musicians of Camerata Atlântica, an ensemble recently formed by instrumentalists from the Gulbenkian Orchestra and the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra.
