Lauded for her special combination of meticulous conducting and depth of musical knowledge, Ukrainian Oksana Lyniv will be remembered as the first female conductor to appear at the mythical Bayreuth Festival, where she put her great talents to work on the opera The Ghost Ship for the opening concert in 2021. She is founder and artistic director of the LvivMozArt Festival and the Ukrainian Youth Symphony Orchestra, and one of the most acclaimed conductors of her generation. Her international reputation makes her a high profile ambassador for Ukrainian culture around the world, and she has become a committed voice and symbol of the fight for peace.
