In January 2019, Joana Gama and Luís Fernandes, accompanied by musicians from the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa conducted by José Alberto Gomes, brought to the Grand Auditorium the project at the still point of the turning world, a name borrowed from T. S. Eliot’s Burnt Norton, which combines piano, electronics and orchestral music. Here “music travels in a wide space, travelling routes in permanent collision. There is no perceived conflict in this collision, but an explosion of sounds that illuminate a space that begins dark”.
