Museum Day and Night

Big museum party

Museum’s opening hours extended, two exhibitions that can be visited until midnight, live and virtual tours, performances, meetings, a Pop menu, jazz concerts and a DJ playing to fans of 60s and 70s music. This year, the International Museum Day is marked on the 18thof May but the celebration will continue on the 19thwith various activities with free entry.

The theatre and music performance LIGADUS is the result of the relationship between the youth theatre group Guerberoff and the space and the works in the Modern Collection. The project is the result of 4 months’ work with classes and rehearsals in this space.

Two tours with audio description to the exhibition Post-Pop. Beyond the commonplaceaimed at the blind public or people with visual impairment. These tours, promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and the British Council, will have a specialised audio descriptive guide that follows a route describing selected works.
