The architectural complex of the Gulbenkian Foundation was built during the 1960s according to plans by architects Alberto Pessoa, Pedro Cid and Rui Athouguia, and two landscape architects, Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles and António Viana Barreto. It is an exceptional project, in terms of size, programme and technical competence, which were decisive factors in its classification as a National Monument.
Get to know the story behind this innovative project on a tour that deciphers the symbiotic relationship between architecture and landscape architecture, shown here at its finest.
All tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance.
Guided by Carlos Carrilho, Jorge Lopes
