Susana C. Gaspar
Born in Lisbon, in 1987. She is the Chair of the Board of Amnistia Internacional Portugal since April 2015. Susana graduated in Cultural Sciences – specialisation in Comunication and Culture and has Master degree in Artistic Education – specialisation in Theatre in Education. Actress, Stage Director, Teacher and Cultural Mediator, she often associates her activism with her artwork. She was Coordinator of Group 19 – Sintra of Amnistia Internacional Portugal, from 2012 to April 2015, where she led initiatives such as MOSTRA-ME – Human Rights Documentary Film Festival and held sessions of Human Rights Education in county schools. She is on the team of Dínamo’s trainers network (youth organization), having experience in training on citizenship and human rights, including HRE. Between 2014 and 2015, she was a participant in the international training “Leadership Development Course – Explorer’s Journey for Systemic Change: tackling the root causes” (DEEEP / Smart CSO’s Lab / Development Perspectives), which included a participation in the International Civil Society Week 2014 (Johannesburg) as well as the World Social Forum 2015 (Tunis).
