Maria Luísa Ribeiro Ferreira

Maria Luísa Araújo de Oliveira Monteiro Ribeiro Ferreira (recently retired) is Full Professor of Modern and Contemporary  Philosophy at Lisbon University (Universidade de Lisboa), Faculdade de Letras, where she taught   Modern Philosophy,  Didactics of Philosophy, Women’s Studies, Gender Philosophy and several Seminars on Spinoza and Hume. She was chief coordinator of three projects running in Centro de Filosofia da Universidade de Lisboa: Learning and Teaching Philosophy; Women in Philosophy; Spinoza.

Last publication: Ensinar e Aprender Filosofia no Mundo Digital, Lisboa, Centro de Filosofia da Universidade de Lisboa, 2014. Besides this book (and many articles in  academic publications) she has published more twenty eight books, individually or as organizer, in the areas of Teaching Philosophy, Gender Philosophy, Modern Philosophy (mainly on Spinoza). She is a researcher of Centro de Filosofia of Universidade de Lisboa where she has coordinated several projects. She is chief coordinator of Philosophy at Sociedade Científica of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, member of GT Benedictus de Spinoza,  Universidade Estadual do Ceará, Brasil; of Seminário Spinoza, Spain, of  Association des Amis de Spinoza, France and of  Accion Integrada Hispaña-Portugal , Leibniz. She is member of the Direction of Sociedade de Ética Ambiental.
