The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose fundamental purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science, and education. The Foundation operates from its headquarters in Lisbon and its branches in Paris and London.

We are looking for a Procurement Technician to join our Central Services team. The Procurement Technician is responsible for ensuring the formalization and acquisition, under the best market conditions, of goods and services necessary for the Foundation’s activities. It adheres to guiding principles of social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

Contractual conditions: Permanent employment contract

Main responsibilities

  • Preparation of purchase orders, ensuring their classification.
  • Preparation of pre-contractual documents.
  • Receipt of purchase requests and, when necessary, seek suppliers for the materials to be acquired by sending requests for quotations.
  • Ensure the procurement process according to defined requirements and specifications.
  • Identify irregularities through the implemented system and assess suppliers.
  • Ensure the selection, management, and negotiation with suppliers for the acquisition of goods and services to support the Foundation’s operations (General Purchases, including Stationery), promoting the best supply and price conditions.
  • Ensure contract management.

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Law, or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Portuguese and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
