Montmartre: a place of contrasts

Cartão Gulbenkian Mais programme

Event Slider

Paris, particularly the Montmartre neighborhood, inspired some French authors during the Belle Époque (1871-1914). In parallel, the illustrations in their books contributed to the creation of the iconic imagery of this place.

The Cartão Gulbenkian Mais holders will join the curator Ana Maria Campino to look at copies from the Gulbenkian Collection showing Montmartre and its contrasts: city and country, celebration and poverty, faith, and bohemianism.

Exclusive programming has a limited capacity. If you can’t attend, return your ticket up to 48 hours in advance using the Contact Form (select Information Request and Cartão Gulbenkian).
