This is not the first time Jaimie Branch (Fly or Die, High Life) and Jason Nazary (Little Women, Helado Negro) have worked together, but in the past, before the duo Anteloper, it was based around their primary instruments – Branch’s trumpet and Nazary’s drums. Now, they have plugged into the electrical current for a project that expands their horizons through the unashamed use of synthesisers, which provide the perfect shortcut to the spatial wanderings that imbue their music. Inhabited by images that shift between feinting reality and pure fantasy, this is a journey within to be enjoyed, as Rob Mazurek writes, with your eyes closed.
