The archive of Leitão de Barros – filmmaker, journalist, set designer and playwright – is composed of correspondence, photographs of the shooting of films, manuscripts of film scripts, chronicles from the newspaper Diário de Notícias (Os Corvos) and theatre texts.

Until July 12, a selection of documentation from the archive of Leitão de Barros can be seen. On exhibit are texts and notes on projects such as the construction of the “Nau de S. Vicente”, scripts for films produced and unproduced, as well as correspondence with celebrities from the artistic and political circles of the time, and photographs related to his cinematographic activity.

The exhibition has the collaboration of Cinemateca Portuguesa, responsible for the editing of extracts of films directed by Leitão de Barros.
