International Day of Women and Girls in Science: how ♀ scientists do it!

On 11 February the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) colleagues organize an online event with scientists and science stakeholders to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Maria João Amorim and Raquel Oliveira, principal investigators at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, will join the session “A Ciencia: Science is a feminine word” to talk about the role and challenges of women in science.

The initiative marks the “Portuguese Semester” celebrations, on the occasion of the 2021 Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU).

The online event is open to the public.
