IGC researchers new EAM members

Isabel Gordo and Karina Xavier elected as new Members of the European Academy of Microbiology

The European Academy of Microbiology (EAM) is an initiative focused on the promotion, impact and works to amplify the impact and visibility of microbiology and microbiologists in Europe.

Isabel and Karina know integrate EAM´s list of leading microbiologists in their own fields and will benefit from several actions such as targeted programs and activities at the edges of the discipline, and communication to scientists, stakeholders and to the public.

EAM is promoted by FEMS, a non-profit organization that supports microbiologists throughout their careers, publishing and promoting scientific research in journals and organizing events to bring scientists together. Set up in 1974, FEMS has a coalition of 54 Member Societies from 38 different countries.
