COVID 19 – Information resources
There is too much misinformation regarding COVID19, which can generate anxiety and counterproductive behavior in fighting this disease. Information on COVID19 should be conveyed by the official channels which are reliable and updated (see links below) to ensure people follow the correct guidelines and act in a coordinated manner. All Public Health related communication is addressed exclusively by these entities.
Our scientists are trying to help this crisis in many different manners in coordination with other research Institutions in Portugal and abroad. Maria João Amorim, IGC virologist who studies fundamental questions related to the biology of viruses, has participated in a few information programs/interviews to answer virology-related questions in a reliable manner (see links to news below).
Reliable information is crucial to undertake Covid-19.
