ALAgrApHY, artistic name of Alaa Abi-Haidar, has done an artistic residence at the IGC in 2019. His work focused on an artistic visualization of data generated by IGC scientists, using artificial intelligence.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation carried out a cross-cultural inter-disciplinary project inspired by International Year of Biodiversity 2010, with a view to forming a trans-national network, involving scientific research, arts and crafts.

During 3 weeks in May 2009, Marta de Menezes and Lucy Lyons were at the IGC with their drawing material, deepening their understanding of the scientific research and drawing different experiences in the laboratories.
