The Maratona da Saúde is a charitable project, in close collaboration with RTP, inspired by a very successful format in other countries called Telethon (mented in Portugal Professor António Coutinho, renowned immunologist, founder and 1st President of the Health Marathon.

The partnerships that the Maratona da Saúde has established over the years with various scientific and health institutions, companies and Patient associations have led to the development of an innovative social project that combines entertainment with awareness raising and fundraising, highlighting the hope that more effective treatments and the cure of the major diseases affecting humanity lie in science.
