Best practices for pre-award support in collaborative Projects

Research performing institutions aim to create optimum research and supportive environment enabling leading scientists to focus on science and collaboration. This assumes particular importance when applying for competitive funding for collaborative projects, where competition is high, rates of success are low and new requirements are constantly being requested, as in the case of the European Framework Programmes. This also involves deploying professional research manager administrators who are entirely familiar with the administrative and management requirements necessary for this type of applications.

The moto of this capacity-building event is to discuss how can Research Managers & Administrators (RMA) better support collaborative projects. What is expected from RMA? In this one-day event there will be oportunity for discussing this and other questions and also for networking, which will allow to strengthen the connections between the SymbNET partner institutions, paving the way for joint applications to international funds.

The event is open to staff members from all institutions involved in SymbNET (FCG-IGC, ITQB NOVA, Kiel University, EMBL, and University of Lausanne) and to staff members from other local and national research institutes that can benefit from this training.

Registration is free but mandatory.
