This meeting will establish the first cross-disciplinary network dedicated to the Evolution of Reproduction. During the course of three days, our goal is to approach the study of germ cell function, human reproductive health and infertility from a yet-unexplored perspective. For this, we have brought together experts in evolution and reproductive biology under the auspices of an interdisciplinary science-driven approach to sexual reproduction.
The main aims of this meeting are to tackle three outstanding questions:
1. What are the origins of sexual reproduction?
2. How does evolution constrain the function of reproductive cells?
3. What can evolution teach us about infertility?
